  • Our investment world
Carthesio selects financial instruments, e.g. as part of its discretionary or advisory mandates, based on a predefined investment universe consisting of both products managed by itself and products from a wide range of third-party providers.
  • Client classification
Depending on your knowledge and experience with financial instruments and/or your financial situation, you may be classified as a "private client", "professional client" or "institutional client". Private clients receive the highest level of investor protection and the most comprehensive documentation in terms of risks, product characteristics and advice provided. Professional clients have a lower level of investor protection. Given their knowledge and experience, as well as their ability to bear the investment risk associated with financial services or transactions, professional clients are considered sophisticated investors, so they have access to a broader investment universe. Unless otherwise communicated to Carthesio, clients will be considered "private". Reclassification is possible if you meet the necessary requirements.
  • Risk information
Trading financial instruments presents opportunities but also involves risks. Understanding these risks is the basis for sound investment decisions. We recommend that you read the brochure of the SwissBanking referred to in the following link.
  • Best execution
Our aspiration is to achieve the best possible result for our clients on an ongoing basis when executing transactions on your behalf, even if we use third-party financial institutions. In every situation we apply what are known as best execution principles.
  • Conflicts of interest
Conflicts of interest can occur when business interests conflict with each other. If not mitigated, they can result in a financial disadvantage to the client. Carthesio SA has adopted a policy to address the various situations and define the processes by which conflicts of interest are identified and managed in the  following link (Italian version).
